California artist Thomas Kinkade, died alone in his Bay Area home on Friday, from what appeared to be natural causes, per family spokesman David Satterfield. No other details were immediately available.

Kinkade referred to himself as America?s most-collected artist. The sale of his paintings and other kitsch products are reported to generate $100 million a year in sales.
